What makes me sad about this video is that it's not possible for George to see normal colors anymore. Humans have a critical period of development after birth which is a few weeks roughly where that child must must MUST be exposed to every color in the rainbow and the entire visible light spectrum. If they're not, you can induce color blindness because your brain is still rewiring neurons after you're born and once those neurons are set, you cant change them. Because george is a grown adult, this means he will never be able to see the full color spectrum even if he wanted to. It's why it's called a "Critical Period" because you can restrict what colors you see for the rest of your life after this period if you want to and you'll still be able to see them if you take the filter off but if you somehow put on color-filtering goggles for that entire critical period as a baby, those are the only colors you will ever see for the rest of your life. It's a sad fact but an interesting detail for anyone wondering why it's so hard to cure colorblindness.
